Joanna Miller publishes first novel, The Eights

Stephen Perse Alumna Publishes Debut Novel with Penguin!

We’re thrilled to celebrate Stephen Perse Cambridge alumna (1980-1987), Joanna Miller, on the publication of her debut novel, The Eights – released worldwide by Penguin!

Inspired by the first women to study alongside men at Oxford during the Great War, The Eights explores themes of suffrage, sisterhood, and academic emancipation – values deeply embedded in the Stephen Perse ethos. Joanna credits her time at Perse Girls for instilling a lifelong love of reading, nurtured by the school’s inspiring English staff.

Huge congratulations to @joannamillerauthor on this incredible achievement!
