Our alumni are poster girls (we're sure the boys will soon join them) for the portfolio career and the joys of following your heart, rather than feeling too scared to leave the confines of a safe job.

Why not abandon the security of a major London chambers to bring modern legal standards to the people of Serbia? How about turning your back on a conventional career to make a real difference to the street children of New York? Or quitting a role in corporate strategy and branding to bring back Cambridge's favourite Chelsea Buns?

Of course, some choose the straightforward path as successful journalists, doctors, bankers and other more conventional routes to fulfillment.
